Website for Tourist union of Slovenia

The Tourist union of Slovenia (TZS) is a Slovenian national organisation of volunteers who dedicate their skills, knowledge, ideas and work for the common good, for the greater well-being of Slovenian society, for the development of Slovenian tourism by educating and training people and by contributing to the quality, variety and diversity of Slovenian tourist offer, the protection of the environment and heritage and the quality of life of the population.

The TZS was founded in 1905 as the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Foreign Transport and unites over 600 tourist associations throughout Slovenia.

It brings together and represents many tourist destinations, providers and stakeholders in Slovenia. TZS strives to increase the visibility and attractiveness of Slovenia as one of the most interesting destinations for travel and holidays for both domestic and foreign visitors.

The main objective is to create a modern and attractive website that showcases the wide range of brands that the company offers on the market. In addition, the interested public will be able to learn about the corporate social responsibility activities that are being carried out.

The Slovenian Tourist union wanted to create an attractive and user-friendly website for website visitors and its members, which would follow modern web trends. They wanted to build on the presentation of Slovenia's attractions, showcase their projects and cooperation with tourist associations. They wanted to enable tourist boards to edit their own subpages and publish local news and events.

Together with the TZS team, we completely overhauled the website. We focused on design and user experience to create an attractive and intuitive site for visitors. We restructured all categories and content to better showcase tourist destinations, federation projects and local tourist boards.

Special attention was paid to building a simple and user-friendly platform for registered users. The platform allows tourist boards to organise their own subpages and publish local news or events. This content is then displayed on the subpages of the association and on the subpages of all news.

The website features news and events from Slovenia and highlights of tourist destinations. Various projects of the association are presented, such as My Land - Beautiful and Welcoming, Tourism is Helped by Your Own Head and other annual projects of the association. We have created an archive of copies of the Lipov List publication and presented the activities of the association.

With renewed content, a modern look and feel and a user-friendly interface, the site offers visitors more interesting content and puts the focus on destinations and the work of the union. The new structuring of the content has improved clarity and made it easier to find information more quickly. An added section for registered users has facilitated cooperation with tourist boards and increased the number of local news and events published.
