The Tolmin Angling Club (RD Tolmin) is one of the largest and most reputable angling associations in Slovenia. They manage over 1,400 kilometers of rivers and streams as well as 25 hectares of still waters. Their greatest pride is the indigenous marble trout (Salmo marmoratus), which they carefully protect and promote as part of the region’s natural heritage. In addition to angling, the club is committed to ecosystem maintenance, conservation projects, and the development of fishing tourism, attracting nature enthusiasts from all over the world to the Soča Valley.
In the digital era, a website is the central point of an organization’s presentation – its window to the world. For the Tolmin Angling Club, which manages one of the richest and most recognized angling areas in Europe, a website redesign was a necessary step to strengthen communication with members, visitors, and international anglers.
The previous website no longer met the needs of modern users. It was content-heavy yet lacked clarity, visually outdated, and difficult to use on mobile devices.
We developed a modern website that visually and functionally supports the mission of RD Tolmin.
The foundation is the club’s new visual identity, built around the symbol of the marble trout and the colors of the Soča River: a deep green paired with a vibrant fresh green that adds dynamism to the design. The website uses a modular layout that ensures clear navigation and adaptability across different devices.
Content is organized into clear sections: about the club, activities, history, and projects. Special emphasis is placed on presenting rivers, fish, crayfish, and the broader ecosystem, giving visitors a sense of entering the rich natural environment of the Soča Valley. The site also includes angling rules, options for purchasing fishing permits, real-time water levels and conditions, and information about local fishing guides.
The website was designed with user experience at its core: intuitive navigation, responsive design, and a modern visual look together create a digital presence that is both professional and user-friendly.
The website redesign has enabled the Tolmin Angling Club to present itself in the digital space with the same confidence it shows in the field. The new site has become a modern and clear communication channel, giving visitors easy access to essential information while also offering rich insights into the history, projects, and natural resources the club protects.
Its modular and responsive design ensures adaptability across devices and guarantees that the website will remain ready for future upgrades and new content.
The website combines modern design and content structure, field-based data, and AI-powered support into a comprehensive information service for all park visitors.
The Soča Valley has launched the SočaBot AI assistant, helping website visitors explore and discover the destination more easily.
